place in the world-class facility of
Cannon Indoor Sports (see

Training
sessions are conducted by
Steve Chapman, a First
Class cricketer (or in his absence by an
appointed suitably qualified coach). The emphasis is
on working on the players needs and the aim is to
keep an air of freshness in training.
Currently Steve
is Head Coach of Victorian Premier Cricket
side Dandenong Cricket Club. In his first
year as Head Coach at Dandenong, the First
XI won a Premiership, a team which included

Congratulations to Michael Wallace, Ben Hillard,
James Wilcock and Dylan Quirk for their recent
successes as they all strive towards professional
cricket. Having all playing prestigious Southern
Ranges cricket, higher honours have come calling
with all four of these lads moving onto state youth
level cricket and in Dylan`s case Australia youth
cricket as in the 2009 – 10 season Dylan toured
India with the Australia under 15`s team. Having
worked extensively with these four cricketers, be
assured their rewards to date have come due to their
continued hard work and commitment.
SC Cricket Coaching is delighted to announce the
addition of Ben Hillard and Michael Wallace to its
coaching staff. Both lads have developed into fine
coaches as well as excellent cricketers. It is with
great anticipation that they will begin their
coaching careers with us. Watch out for Rob Parker
throughout the winter. Rob is almost ready to step
out on his own as a cricket coach having already
completed over 200 hours of coaching alongside other
staff members as he learns his trade!!!

Steve in the UK 2007
From
April till August 07 Steve traveled to the UK to
join the coaching staff of Durham County Cricket
Club working with professional players of all ages
and levels. The majority of his work as Assistant
Academy Coach was to oversee the coaching and
development of the young professionals at the club,
as well as coordinate programs for the county youth
teams and their managers.
Regularly he worked with the professional players,
both individually and in net situations as they
prepared for First Class Cricket, giving Steve the
opportunity to work with some of the best players in
the world at close hand.
Outside of Durham CCC duties, Steve played club
cricket for Marske CC throughout the English summer.
Marske club professional Rob Nichol, a prolific
opening batsman from Auckland, NZ, worked
extensively with Steve fine tuning his batting and
developing his off spin bowling before leaving mid
season to tour Australia with New Zealand ‘A’.
